Plate Fin Construction

The leader in custom, replacement and special application heating and cooling coils, Anderson Snow has long realized the need for heavy-duty industrial coils. Many coils like these are designed specifically for paper mills.

Due to the particulate and humidity problems that develop in mill air systems, it is necessary that such coils have wide fin spacing with plate type fins. This means that fins must be heavy enough to be abused, blown down and cleaned without folding over, thus ruining the coils.

Anderson Snow has developed a coil which not only incorporates the desired wide plate fin concept, but also is heavy enough to withstand maximum abuse. Anderson Snow coils can be furnished in fin spacings from 2 1/2 through 6 per inch.

Available in all metals, find have .025" thickness. Compatible metal tubing is 1" O.D., .049 to .120" thick.

Most important is that wide plate fin spacings not only will permit you to operate your air systems at top efficiency, but they also will help you avoid costly shut downs.
Anderson - Snow Corporation manufacturers a coil that solves this problem! ANSCOR offers a coil fabricated from either 5/8", 3/4" or 1" O.D. tubing with flat plate type fins. Fin spacings are available from 4 to 14 fins per inch, with a fin thickness of either .010", .016" or .025". This heavy fin is available in Copper, Aluminum, Type 304 or Type 316 Stainless Steel, Monel, Carbon Steel and Cupro-Nickel. The heavy wall tubing used in conjunction with this fin is also available in the above materials from .028" to .120" wall. This heavy fin can take more abuse without the fins collapsing. The wide fin spacing also makes plugging less likely to occur. The heavy wall Stainless Steel or Carbon Steel tubing offers a fully welded tube to header joint.
